Many of the layouts include a header background image. There are two different ways to add or change the image in these row sections.
METHOD 1- FEATURED PAGE IMAGE
A featured page image is controlled inside the WordPress page itself. WordPress uses the featured image as a default when sharing to social media or other sites. Although not required, it is a web “best practice” to add featured images to every page.
- Open and login to your WordPress website
- Navigate to your pages via the WordPress dashboard
- Hover over the page and click edit
- The page itself will be blank (ProPhoto manages the design inside the PP7 customizer). Navigate to the right panel and scroll down to the Featured Image section.
- Click replace image to set a new featured image.
- Click Update to save your changes for this page.
- The image is now changed. Visit the front end of the page to see the reflected changes.
METHOD 2- PROPHOTO CUSTOMIZER ROW BACKGROUND IMAGE
If you would like to edit the header image in a visual builder you can do so inside the ProPhoto 7 customizer.
- Open and login to your WordPress website
- Navigate to the page you want to edit and open the PP7 Customizer
- Click the settings icon of the page block (highlighted in green)
- The block window will open. Hover over the first row. It will highlight the area on the page red. Click the setting icon to open the settings for this row.
- Scroll down until you see the background image section.
- ***PLEASE NOTE: The “Use featured image if available” is checked. This means if a featured image is set for the page (method 1: steps 1-7) then the background image will override with the featured image. To remove this functionality, uncheck the box.
- Click add image to change the row background image.
- Select an image from the media window or upload a new image
- Select continue
- The image is now changed, click the blue save button to save your changes to this page layout
- Repeat the steps to change the header image for each page.
